Itinerary: 5-Day Morocco tour from Tangier

DAY 1: TANGIER – CHAFCHOUEN – FEZ

In this 5-day Morocco tour from Tangier to Marrakech, we will pick you up in the morning at the port (ferry) or at the airport and take you to Chauen. Our first stop will be in Tetouan, a Spanish town, and in Chefchaouen we will leave our luggage in the hotel and drive to Chauen.

We will stroll through the streets and between the old blue and white houses, enjoying the panorama and then continue to Fez, where we will stay overnight in one of the riads.

DAY 2: FEZ – IFRANE – AZROU – ERRACHIDIA – MERZOUGA

After breakfast, we leave Fez and drive towards the Middle Atlas Mountains to visit Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Africa. The next village is Azrou “the rock”, a Berber village known for its crafts, carpets and woodcarvings, before we arrive in Midelt.

We follow the road through Tizi Talgemt or Camel Pass at an altitude of 1,907 metres. The terrain is spectacular, the mountains are completely bare and covered in a purple mantle. Arrival in Errachidia and start crossing the Tafilalet massif to the palm grove of Erfoud. On the road to the Merzouga Desert Arrival in the desert and the start of an incredible adventure For an hour we ride in a camel caravan that takes us to camp.

We stop in the middle of the road to admire the sunset over the dunes and stretch our legs a bit before continuing on to camp, where we have more tea before dinner and have the opportunity to climb the big dune or the smaller dunes near the camp to see the shooting stars and make wishes. Overnight in Haimas in the heart of the desert (camp) with dinner and typical Berber breakfast.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA – RISSANI – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY

Our 5-day Morocco tour from Tangier to Marrakech continues. We wake up before dawn to see the sunrise. We return by camel or 4×4 to the meeting point with our minibus to continue our journey to Rissani, visit the market, which is the most important in the south, where all desert nomads shop, and then drive to Erfoud, where we visit a fossil marble factory and continue on to the palm groves of Tourug and Tindad.

We arrive at one of the sights of the south: the Todra Gorge. The Todra River has formed a gorge with vertical walls of enormous size and beauty, a climber’s paradise and a unique place.

Lunch on site and a half hour walk to admire the gorge at your leisure. In the afternoon we will continue to the Dades valley via Dades Bumalen and reach the Dades valley where we will stay in a hotel with dinner and breakfast.

DAY 4: DADES VALLEY – ROSE VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADOU – HIGH ATLAS – MARRAKECH

After breakfast at the hotel, start the drive to Ouarzazate via Dades Bumalne, the Valley of the Roses and Skoura. On the way you will see the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, the Valley of the Roses and the Skoura Oasis. From here we drive to the village of Ait Ben Haddou where we have lunch and then explore the exotic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.

We then cross the pass of Tizi N’Tichka (2260m) and have the opportunity to photograph and enjoy the scenery of the High Atlas Mountains; we visit the ARGAN oil cooperative where we learn about the production process and receive an explanation of the countless benefits to the human body; in the afternoon we arrive in Marrakech and transfer to our riad, where we spend the night with breakfast.

DAY 5: VISIT MARRAKECH AND TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT

After breakfast, you visit Marrakech. In the morning visit the Koutoubia and the Bahia Palace. Visit the souks, the medina and the Jemaa el Fna Square. To enjoy a drive and stroll through the streets of the medina and souks, join a walking tour with a local guide. Depending on your flight schedule, transfer to the airport or hotel and end our services.
